Another thing you’ll notice about online poker, is the speed. There’s no shuffling time, the deal is instant, and you never have to worry about a card getting flipped over or the dealer making a mistake. Essentially, there are NO misdeals online.

And, for the serious players, most sites allow you to sit at more than one table at a time. So you have a continuous flow of hands, and continuous action.

As an added bonus, many online casinos let you play in free rolls with virtual money. This is especially important if you’re a new player looking to improve your skill. You have no liability, so you get to set aside your reservation of making risky moves. This is definitely recommended if you’re trying new strategy, or if you’re just learning the game.

Live- Social, Tells

When playing in live games, you get the social atmosphere you usually don’t get with playing on line. You actually get to see your opponent, as they are more than a screen name and a chip stack.

You also get a chance to read your opponents better. You get to see how they act when they win, when the lose, when they have a good hand, and when they’re bluffing. This is just something you don’t see online. But it does come at a cost. You actually have to go to where the game is, to experience this. And there are many players who just aren’t comfortable playing in front of other players.
