What to Do with Your Points?

To each is own for sure. If you look at just about any online poker site out there you see that they all tend to have loyalty programs and VIP style points. For example Everest poker uses Summit Points to reward their players. And you could take a look at all the other sites and find something similar as far as VIP goes.

But the question soon comes up, what do I do with all these accumulated points? There are several options, you could use them to buy into poker tournaments and this is the option I recommend if you end up finding a site that offers points based entry to sit-n-gos, you use that as it usually is a cheap way to get into big money tournaments.

But you have other options. Sometimes once you earn enough points you can convert them directly to cash. This is definitely preferable if you’re looking to bolster up that bankroll a little bit, but it’s not always a good deal. So make sure you’re getting a good value for the time you put in for your points.

Finally, most of the sites have a VIP store where you can buy things with your points. This option is the one I’d most heavily recommend since it both builds your discipline in holding on to things of value (and this will translate directly to your bankroll) and also will give you more bang for your buck. But again, to each his own at the casino.
