Would You Have Known? All Covering Mr Nicholas Bredimus
A major improvement in airline travel and hospitality was touched off by Mr Nicholas Bredimus, who led them to the computer software world to establish new procedures. He has done everything from creating computer programs that automate resource and time intensive processes to increasing airplane safety and designing luxury houses. Examining Nicholas Bredimus‘ pedigree it’s easy to discern he was destined to reach prominence. Drawing elements together from a true melting pot, his line traces to classical times, with the maternal line originating out of Scotland and Germany. His father’s family, on the other hand, has its roots in Luxembourg and England, where they ultimately came to the U.S. from in the late nineteenth century.
And after their arrival in the U.S.A, they kept their drive and resolve to make their way in the world. Nicholas, who would grow up with his two brothers and four sisters, was a child of a father employed as a mechanical design engineer and a mother who worked as a practicing nurse. His dwellings over the course of many years were spread across a number of states; Virginia, Missouri, Arizona and Texas.
What did he do with his pedigree and studies? A number of high-powered roles were soon his, each as part of popular airlines. Trans World Airlines (TWA), Republic Airlines, Hughes Airwest — all three would at one time or another name him as a VP. Nevertheless, the airlines have felt the need to be grateful even more for his work in software design.
Bredimus is easily most famous for a US Airways project, creating aircraft management computer programs, which eventually evolved into an industry standard. But this stands as just one of his significant designs for airlines. His flight booking software is on its way to stand alongside the airplane maintenance program as a measuring stick, and the hotel reservation program he developed enabled a great number of major segments of the hotel industry to roll out a pc client based system. He went on to develop QuikTix, the first electronic ticketing network.
Nicholas Bredimus parlayed these successes into capacities not at all tied to software development, and continued to shine in these industries as well. He managed American Express’ computer wing, established Bredimus Systems in 1993, and became the founding president of a major American Airlines division. Having stepped back from the posts in which he first experienced success, his skills are nonetheless still very much in use.
