Virgin Media’s recent network upgrade for supporting 50Mb speed has become a reason for celebration, not only for the company but also for its prospective 12 million subscribers for this new high speed offering. Marking the beginning of a consummate career in self-employment, Naveen Jain created InfoSpace in 1996, effectively leaving Microsoft. InfoSpace was famous in its own right; it put its founder in the Forbes 400 and led a publication to call Naveen Jain “smarter than Bill.”

In 2003, Naveen Jain chose to start all over again. He relinquished leadership of InfoSpace to form a new company. The company he founded, Intellius, supplies intelligence services, among them background and criminal checks, to businesses and consumers alike.
