Can Big Brands Win over Gaming Enthusiasts with Their Gaming Notebook Range

Gaming laptops used to only be obtainable from select resellers. They were simply like a small qty manufacturing plant. Did not ship many but made a lot of markup on each system. The price was just too large to justify buying these types of laptop computer for the masses. They were like the show piece of what was possible with notebook computer technology, the best laptops in existence. Though that was true I think the prices were so expensive that we would buy laptop computers that were not as good instead. As the big computer brands distinguish the potential revenues in gaming notebooks, the market is altering. If mass produced, brands can make huge revenues on gaming notebooks. At this point in time the profit margins on most laptop computers are so narrow that this presents a great opportunity to get back the gross margins. Persuading prospects to buy laptops is quite easy for international brands. This is a massive threat to smaller specialist companies. I reckon once it gets mass marketed it will lose some of the appeal. In my point of view if anyone’s decided to pay a lot of money the well known brand always wins.

To my astonishment the mass produced gaming laptops are as good if not better than the best laptops available to buy. I think that small system builders could still have an opportunity. I can predict the choice of getting to configure the laptop to be a cardinal buying decision. I think the people that buy gaming notebooks normally know what they’re looking for. For these types of purchasers, the technical aspects of a computer normally matter more than the design of it.

This could be looked at as a good thing for the gamer. In the end it will drive prices down even further and make the newest technology even more affordable for everybody. Who is to say what will occur. I’m actually not that certain. New laptops are always being released and that should keep costs constantly high. The bigger brands have already launched their own gaming laptop line, so all we can do now is stand back and see.

This company (http://www.rizeon.com/gaming_laptops/page.php) is selling a few good gaming laptops at really cheap prices.

What Is Electronic-Data-Interchange?

Electronic-data-interchange, or EDI is a method of computer to computer exchange of various types of information. While many people know of the internet and the World Wide Web as communication methods, the electronic-data-interchange is much similar. It allows the transfer of data from one place to the next with very minimal need for people to get involved.

Today, the electronic-data-interchange is regulated. It offers specific interchange methods that transpire overseas and nationally as standards bodies when it comes to moving information and business transactions from one place to the next. For example, this is the most common form of communication in the process of purchasing goods and services. Communication for the location to the financial institution to deliver a message of the amount of funds required, in this case, is what data will be transferred.

In most cases, the information that is transmitted in an electronic data interchange is done so that companies can communicate. They can provide information to allow business transactions or the passage of very important information. For example, in the healthcare industry they can be used to help communicate through the network about a patient allowing for a faster method of receiving information. This technology is still being developed in many areas, though.

In fact, more and more so, people are turning to electronic-data-interchange as their means of communicating especially with more people turning to the Internet. The electronic-data-interchange allows for networks of all sorts to communicate and this is helping ecommerce as a great way for companies to buy, sell or trade information and services. In fact, ANSI has just approved a set of electronic-data-interchange standards. They are known as the X12 standards. Nonetheless, you will see more and more people using them because more and more people are getting online to do just these things.

Water Proof iPod Now Available

Everyone loves an iPod yet prior to now they have had some serious limitations. For instance you could not take them into the water or surfing? So for an avid surfer who spends hours in the water why would you bother to own one? Well all that has changed now; introducing the H2O Audio Corporations new waterproof cases. Previously these cases were only water resistant; splash proof or snow proof, but now you can submerge them and take them diving, snorkeling, surfing or in the pool.

At the World Famous CES Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas H20 Audio had one of their units dunked in water and playing away. The cases are not really out of line either, for instance you can get a waterproof iPod Shuffle case for only forty bucks. The iPod Nano, which should be cheaper because it is smaller costs eighty dollars and if you get a new video iPod the case is ninety smackeroos.

The new and improved tight seals are able to hold up under water pressure of ten feet or more and you can also get a dive case which can go down some three-hundred feet below sea level, which only costs one-hundred dollars. You need this in 2006.

Troubleshooting Computer Freeze (Lockup) Problems

How familiar does the following sound? Your computer was working fine, but then suddenly started locking up (aka hanging or freezing), rebooting itself (crashing) or shutting down spontaneously? If you know only too well what I am talking about, then read on! Performing the simple steps below can fix the majority of lockup cases.

1. Check for recently installed software or hardware.
If the lockups started to happen after you installed a new peace of hardware, new software program, or new drivers, uninstall it and see if the problem goes away.

2. Run your antivirus program.
One of the first things to do in the case of sudden lockups is to run your antivirus program. Check your antivirus manufacturer’s website for updates and latest virus definition files. (This is absolutely necessary, outdated antivirus is not going to be of any use!) If you don’t have antivirus software installed - or if updates are unavailable - run one of the web-based antivirus scans that some major antivirus vendors like Trend Micro are offering for free. You can find a comprehensive list of available web-based scans and free antivirus programs on http://www.free-antivirus.info.

3. Run some good spyware removal tool.
If your machine is not infected with any viruses, it is still possible that it has some harmful adware or spyware is present. Download and run some good spyware removal tool such as AdAware or Microsoft AntiSpyware. Check http://www.free-antivirus.info for a list of free spyware removal applications.

4. Check for free hard drive space.
When no viruses are found, check out free hard drive space on drive C:. Make sure there is more than 20% of free space available; low disk space can lead to random lockups.

5. Check for overheating.
Overheating is another known cause of lockups. It can be caused by problems with fans inside the case, dust buildup, or other cooling problems. Make sure the power supply fan and CPU fan are running and free of dust buildup. You can check the temperatures inside the case by running Motherboard monitor
http://mbm.livewiredev.com
- make sure the temperatures are within the preset limits. Be very careful while cleaning inside the computer case (use plastic vacuum crevice tool) and NEVER OPEN THE POWER SUPPLY CASE as it contains high voltage.

6. Check the hard disk.
Check the hard disk - it is possible that its logical structure is corrupted. To check the disk for errors, right-click on the disk C: icon in “My Computer”, select the “Tools” tab, check all check boxes in the “Check disk options” field, and press the “Check now” button. It should ask whether you want to schedule the check next time you restart your computer - answer “Yes” and restart your PC. The check will be performed automatically after startup; it can take a while, so be patient. The program will attempt to fix some problems automatically - however, if the hard disk is failing physically, it will need to be replaced. It is also a good idea to run Disk Defragmenter (located in Start Menu > Programs > Accessories > System Tools) to optimize data placement on the hard disk for increased performance and reliability.

7. Check the memory.
Sometimes random lockups can be attributed to the computer memory (RAM) starting to fail. You can test the memory by running Windows Memory Diagnostic that can be downloaded from http://oca.microsoft.com/en/windiag.asp. If memory problems are found, try re-seating the RAM (pull it out and plug it back in). If it doesn’t work, replace the defective RAM.

8. Check for other hardware problems (advanced users).
More hardware-related problems can be diagnosed by running hardware tests from the Ultimate Boot CD that can be downloaded from http://www.ultimatebootcd.com. However, you should only use it if you know what are you doing - some programs on that CD can be dangerous when used inappropriately (for example, some of them can wipe the contents of your hard disk).

9. Update Windows and drivers.
Some lockups can be caused by outdated software components - update your windows and drives by running a windows update: http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com (it’s good idea to run it regularly).

The above steps will help diagnose and eliminate the most common causes of lockups. Hundreds more of other possible scenarios need to be dealt with on a case-by-case basis, as it all goes down to your particular computer configuration. Asking on PC
troubleshooting forums/newsgroups should help you figure out solutions to not-so-obvious lockup cases.

Free Safe Registry Cleaner

Registry Cleaner Reviews:
Where Does This Junk Come From? These broken links come from programs and viruses that are removed by the uninstall programs and anti virus software. This process of removal leaves traces of the program in the registry and has to be expertly removed with registry cleaners. It is not necessary to scan the registry every second day, however, the registry must be cleaned at least every six months or so. If the registry cleaners are absolutely safe then why will they have a registry backup program built in? There is always a risk involved. Perhaps that is the reason even the best programs have a backup function - Such as any Windows Operating system.. Usually the only indication of Spyware on the computer is through free Spyware removal programs.

Free Windows Registry Cleaner Pro:
Getting the right registry cleaner is very critical to your online privacy. You must make it a point to read all the registry cleaner reviews before attempting to buy your own registry cleaner. What might seem simple too you, in our age of technological “speech, could be a real challenge for your machine. So, do not leave it alone in its fight against weakness. What is weakness for a computer? Well, the essence of its activity is totally based on the operating system and, as we all know, the most popular operating system of all the times is Windows. Windows operating system, though, is not popular for its weak parts and that for you should get informed.. More reviews at: Registry Sweep Review

Registry Cleaners: Registry Cleaner Free Download:
So How Does The Registry Slow The System? As the programs refer to the registry for information such as the location of a particular file or folder it has to start rummaging through the file from the beginning until it comes to the file entry it is looking for. All the entries are entered in hierarchical order so every time the programs refer to the registry they have to start from the beginning. They will also have to go through the broken links and useless entries, which number many thousands. This is why the registry slows the system. A registry cleaner like Win XP registry Cleaner scans the registry and identifies all the broken links and redundant entries that are entries not associated with any application, and removes them. This speeds the system up greatly.. If you own a computer, you must have your very own registry cleaners installed. But then a scan of the system with anti virus software etc.

Cellphones are the devil’s work

Well, if I called the wrong number, why did you answer the
phone? - Cartoon caption by James Thurber.

But I say, “I will not pick up my cellphone even if you called
the right number. Message/Text me.”

Let’s put this straight: cellphones are a threat to both your
privacy and your grey matter - in the literal way.

You go to a party and find a really beautiful girl. You know
that you have to talk to her. And that’s exactly what you do.
You grab two glasses of champagne and head towards her. “Euhem,”
you manage to utter. She turns to look at you. She smiles and
you hand her the champagne. Then out of nowhere, your cellphone
vibrates in your pocket. “Oh shit!” you say. She glares at you
and asks, “sorry?”

Damn the cellphone. What’s more, it was only mum calling to
check whether you are all right.

Anywhere you go somebody can call you. Little by little, you’ve
become an answering machine. And you don’t even have a moment
for yourself because the cellphone always rings/vibrates when
you least need it to. Because cellphones actually do obey
Murphy’s Law!

But then you might say that you don’t even have a private life
anymore, so why bother. Well you have to know that cellphones
may damage people in other ways.

Only a small amount of energy is emitted by a cellphone. However
even this amount will cause stress responses in your cells and
affect your reflexes.

Cellphone radiation can even cause molecular changes in your
cells. An experiment was performed by a Finish team to prove
this. 4500 genes in human cells, cultured in laboratory, were
exposed to cellphone radiation for only 48 hours. More than 20
genes were found to have had their activity rate interrupted.
Now in your brain alone are billions of genes. Even if a small
group of cells will be perturbed, the group isn’t really small
at all. It still contains several millions of genes. Are you
prepared to lose these genes and consequently the cells then?

Cellphone radiation has yet another effect on your grey matter.
It increases blood-vessel permeability in the brain. This
permits molecules normally excluded from the brain to seep in.
This same thing happens in rats’ brains. It is now thought that
this bleach in the blood-brain barrier may be accompanied by the
death of brain cells. If however you like the fact that all
types of I-don’t-know-what molecules are pouring into your
‘defeated’ brain, then only may you continue to use your
cellphones regularly. But don’t blame me; blame yourself.

And yes; you’re right! A rat’s brain is not like a man’s one. In
fact the energy absorbed by the rat is really low compared to
what a person gets when using a cellphone! And what if the
effects add up over time? Maybe your head will literally explode.

Neuroscientist, W. Ross Adey of Loma Linda University says, “You
have to ask, ‘How much can people handle before it becomes a
significant problem?’”

Cellphones may come in handy when you’re in need. But remember
that many of your cells are dying every time you pick up the
cellphone. Hang up!

Ben Franklin and Rosicrucian Dragons - Trepanning

Ben Franklin will always appear to be a great man and he was that indeed. But he was not just the founder of America or The Enlightenment Experiment. He was one of the founders of the New World Order along with Pierre Dupont de Nemours who he negotiated the armistice to end the British campaign against their former colony. This in fact lead to a union and alliance that still rules the world but in a far more complete manner than the British Empire ever did. I have dealt with many intrigues he was part of and I have personally enjoyed conversing with his descendants. His drawing of the line to include Isle Royale as part of the United States is very important as any reader of my book on the Old Copper culture will know. He was a man who enjoyed his sex and the rituals of the Rosicrucian Dragons a great deal more than most. In the following quote from an article in The Guardian we see ‘trepanning’ again. Of course the authors might think this is only part of some anatomical research but I suspect it is part of sexual and psycho-spiritual rituals just as I have shown occurred in these nether regions of esoteric behaviour for many millennia. The trepanned head of the Merovingian King Dagobert allowed him greater psychic attunement and despite Franklin having been part of the witch hunt against Anton Mesmer and his use or exposure of these secrets I know Franklin understood what trepanning really was suited to achieve. And I know they are reported to still eat human thalami at some meetings of the Skull and Bones Society. Sir Laurence Gardner makes it clear that store bought desiccated animal sources do not serve their needs as well as human brain parts do.

“Benjamin Franklin’s house: the naked truth

Restoration reveals secrets of American campaigner

Maev Kennedy, arts and heritage correspondent

Monday August 11, 2003
The Guardian

Some time in 2005 visitors will be able to visit the tall narrow Georgian house in the heart of London where Benjamin Franklin once sat stark naked by the large first floor sash windows, “air bathing” and thinking about bifocals, electricity, economics, American politics, British diplomacy, or how to get the fire in his back room to draw better.

It is a fair bet that however passionately interested the visitors are in the political history of American independence, and the intellectual history of the Age of Enlightenment, what will transfix them is the windowless basement room, once part of the garden.

As restoration work by the Friends of Benjamin Franklin House began on 36 Craven Street, a Grade I listed house rescued from the brink of tottering collapse, a small pit was found in the basement room. A human thigh bone was found.

The coroner and the police were notified. Excavation continued. More human bone surfaced. And more. And more, until more than 1,200 pieces of bone were recovered.

Since the bones were too ancient to trouble Scotland Yard, they are now in the care of the Institute of Archaeology, where experts have already determined that they range from an old man to a human baby. Several skulls have been trepanned, and arm and leg bones chopped through.

The most plausible explanation is not mass murder, but an anatomy school run by Benjamin Franklin’s young friend and protégé, William Hewson. He had been a pupil of the most brilliant anatomist of the day, William Hunter, but the two fell out and Hewson started his own anatomy school - at the home of his mother-in-law Margaret Stephenson, just off the Strand, where Benjamin Franklin was also a lodger for 16 years.

He had a rich source of subjects at hand: the resurrection men could deliver bodies stolen from graveyards to the Thames wharf at the bottom of the street, while there was a weekly public execution at the gallows on the other side of the garden wall.

Benjamin Franklin, who was interested in absolutely everything - he was lucky to escape killing himself or his guests at the demonstrations of electricity he was wont to give during dinner parties - must have attended the public dissections. {For Dragons like the later Skull and Bonesmen who like Pierre Dupont de Nemours and Rufus King would be into the same ritual I trace and Gardner admits to.}

Hewson died young of blood poisoning after he cut himself during a dissection.

Franklin eventually returned to the United States, but was estranged from his abandoned family, and separated from the illegitimate son who shared his London years when Franklin declared for American independence and the son was exiled for his loyalty to England.

The house was less than 30 years old when Franklin came to London and rented the best first floor rooms, where he was visited by all the leading figures in radical politics, science and philosophy.” (2)

Franklin was also a member of The Hellfire Club and you should know about John Dee and the Necronomicon as mentioned in this excerpt.

“John Montagu, Lord Sandwich (the face in the halo) and George Selwyn, (a close friend of Horace Walpole who visited in 1763) were among the inner circle of twelve. One of the female members, Lady Betty Germaine, became a particular friend of Walpole’s; through her Walpole acquired one of Dr. Dee’s celebrated scrying stones, the Angelic Stone, now in the British Museum. Mary Wortley Montagu, Lord Sandwich’s grandmother and a member of the earlier Hellfire Club, was also said to have been a member.

Satirized in the novel Chrysal, or the Story of a Guinea by Charles Johnstone, and referenced in Charles Churchill’s The Candidate, these Medmenhamites were a probable influence on Matthew Lewis’s The Monk.

Benjamin Franklin joined the group on occasion and collaborated with Sir Francis to revise the Book of Common Prayer or Franklin Prayer Book still in use in America. Franklin was also associated with the radical Lunar Society which included Erasmus Darwin, Richard Edgeworth (Maria Edgeworth’s father), and William Godwin’s friend, Joseph Priestley.” (2)
